Mr. Scott D. D'Orazio, Principal

Scott D’Orazio joined the staff of East Pennsboro Area School District in the summer of 2016 as the high school principal.  Mr. D’Orazio previously served as assistant principal at Northeastern (York) High School and Red Lion Area Senior High School.  He was a recognized teacher in Carroll County, Maryland from 2001 through 2010.  During his teaching tenure, Mr. D’Orazio taught students in grades K-12 including courses in general music, instrumental music, vocal music, AP Music Theory, Graphics Communication, Drama Tech, and Financial Literacy.  He also served as a band, orchestra, jazz and marching band director, with his performing groups earning numerous awards and acknowledgements.  In 2008 Mr. D’Orazio was the recipient of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce’s Outstanding Teacher Award and in 2009 the Carroll County Board of Education named Mr. D’Orazio the County Teacher of the Year.  In that same year Mr. D’Orazio was recognized by the Maryland Department of Education in the state-wide teacher of the year program.  Mr. D’Orazio earned his Bachelor of Music degree and teacher certification at West Virginia University, graduating magna cum laude.  He earned a Master of Science degree in School Administration at McDaniel College and has completed his doctoral course work in School Leadership at Immaculata University.

Mrs. Elizabeth Moodie, Director of Athletics and Student Activities Administrator

Elizabeth Moodie joined the administrative team at East Pennsboro Area School District as the Director of Athletics and Student Activities Administrator in February of 2015.  Elizabeth previously served as Athletic Director at Christiana High School, her alma mater, in the Christina School District in Newark, Delaware.  Under her direction, the school achieved a DIAA State Sportsmanship Award in 2014, which was the school’s first.  In addition to her AD responsibilities, Ms. Moodie taught Business Education at both the high school and middle school levels for six years where she was a Teacher of the Year Nominee in 2011.  Prior to teaching, she spent twelve years in the non-profit sector leading in progressively responsible roles for the YMCA of Delaware.  Elizabeth is a graduate of the University of Delaware (M.Ed.-School Leadership; B.S. in Education). She is also a member of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Directors Association (PSADA) and the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA). She earned her Certified Athletic Administrator (CAA) designation in 2013.
