Degrees and Certifications:
Scott D’Orazio joined the staff of East Pennsboro Area School District in the summer of 2016 as the high school principal. Mr. D’Orazio previously served as assistant principal at Northeastern (York) High School and Red Lion Area Senior High School. He was a highly recognized teacher in Carroll County, Maryland from 2001 through 2010. During his teaching tenure, Mr. D’Orazio taught students in grades K-12 including courses in general music, instrumental music, vocal music, AP Music Theory, Graphics Communication, Drama Tech, and Financial Literacy. He also served as a band, orchestra, jazz and marching band director, with his performing groups earning numerous awards and acknowledgements. In 2008 Mr. D’Orazio was the recipient of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce’s Outstanding Teacher Award and in 2009 the Carroll County Board of Education named Mr. D’Orazio the County Teacher of the Year. In that same year Mr. D’Orazio was recognized by the Maryland Department of Education in the state-wide teacher of the year program. Mr. D’Orazio earned his Bachelor of Music degree and teacher certification at West Virginia University, graduating magna cum laude. He earned a Master of Science degree in School Administration at McDaniel College and has completed his doctoral course work in School Leadership at Immaculata University.

Before joining the East Pennsboro team, he has served as a classroom teacher and Special Education Consultant at the IU 13, as well as an Assistant Principal at Manheim Township Middle School and Warwick High School.
Jonathan is a 1996 graduate of Greenwood High School, where he played football (at Newport High School), and basketball on the 1996 Undefeated District 3 championship team and threw shot put and discus for the track team.
After high school, he earned a football scholarship to play at Millersville where he was an All-Conference, 3-year starter at defensive tackle on the 1998 Conference Championship team. In 1999 he was named to the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team®, one of the most coveted off-the-field honors in college football. The Good Works Team® award recognizes college football players who dedicate their time to bettering the community and the lives of others. Other famous recipients of the award are Eli Manning in 2002 and Peyton Manning in 1997.
Outside of school Jonathan enjoys spending time with his wife, twin children, and American Bulldog named Crush. He also enjoys working on old homes in his spare time.
